Zook's Dad tells him that someone stole his hour glass....he can't cook food for the Inn without it...tells him to get his buddies like before and go get it.Zook asks if he knows who may have taken it and he tells Zook that there were footprints in the kitchen like the ones from the old ruins.Zook goes to find his friends.
Zook tells Bonita & Sophie that they have to go find his Dad's hourglass by the old ruins...someone stole it. Bonita tells him that they have to go get Dendiss at the church...he is praying. They head to the church and wait for Dendiss to finish praying....after about 6 minutes, Zook taps him on the shoulder....he ignores Zook and keeps praying....Zook whispers loudly into Dendiss's ear....Dendiss still prays...Bonita talks to him and Sophie bobs him on the head...Dendiss is having problems praying and turns to look at his friends. Zook tells him something stole his hourglass and ran off toward the ruins where they found Gruuga....Dendiss says "What creeps!" He grabs his stuff and charges off toward the ruins....they all grab their stuff and chase off after him...
The door they entered last time to get Gruuga is collapsed in...they look around for a new enterance...Sophie sees a hole in the corner with stairs going down into the ground...she gets the others and leads them to the hole...Zook stood at the top and watched all the others run down the stairs...Dendiss got half way down and tripped falling to the bottom...Sophie and Bonita stopped....Zook hollers down "How's it going down there?" When they get down they found that the floor is all broken up. Zook slowly follows them down. There are torches on the walls lighting the hall. Dendiss takes a torch...they find a good wooden door at the end of the hallway.
Dendiss holds the torch to the door and it doesn't burn....Zook walks up and opens the door...it was unlocked...the room is about 15 ft by 100 ft...(rm 7) they start searching the room...they don't find anything...there are 2 archways on the northside and the northwest side, a door to the southwest side and a grate on the south side...they go to check the grate...Sophie tries to pick it up but fails...Bonita sticks her hand through it and pulls it back....Sophie kicks it and it wobbles...Bonita attacks it with her big sword...putting a great big gash in it....Sophie hits it with her curvy sword and misses...Dendiss throws his axe and hits the wall....Zook watches...Bonita swings again and hits, but there is no damage...Sophie hits it, and puts a scratch on it...Dendiss heads for the southwest door....he looks at it and finds that it is stuck...he smacks it with his lance...and breaks the door in half! The others notice the open door and walk into the next room (rm 10)...the see a big coffin with an alter in front of it....on the alter there is a bulls horn...Zook picks up the horn...it is heavy and there is something in it...he looks in and finds it full of wax.Zook wonders what it is from and looks at the coffin...he tries to open the coffin..they all help try...it is stuck...Dendiss hits the coffin with his torch...Zook kicks it...Bonita yells "Open Says a ME!" and nothing happens...she feels ignored....Sophie tries to kick it and fails...Dendiss thinks praying may be a bad idea...this is not to his God...Zook tries to push the coffin open...the other try to help...it doesn't even budge...it won't open....Zook looks for doors instead...there is a door on the southwest corner...it is a simple wooden door...everyone tries to check the door...Zook kicks the wall thinking it is the door...
Dendiss tries the doorknob...the door opens...there is a big room (rm 12) and they all enter....they see 4 doors NE, SE, SW, & NW...Dendiss went to the NE door...it is a big wooden door...he tried the doorknob and opens the door...There is a blinding flash of light and Dendiss doesn't feel good...like someone beat him with a ball bat...he falls down....
The others get to the SE door...a big wooden door...Bonita tries to open the doorknob...it gets jerked out of her hand and moves down...Sophie and Bonita hear a gasp and they noticed Dendiss sitting on the floor...Bonita tells Zook...and Sophie goes to ask Dendiss if he is ok...he tells them he saw a light a few seconds ago and then he fell...Dendiss tries to get up and Bonita & Sophie try to check to see if he is ok...Sophie is not sure...Bonita sees that he is hurt pretty bad...Dendiss sits and prays in Elven to be ok...his hands start glowing and the glow spreads through out his body and he feels a little better...they all start praising the Gods...Sophie hugs him...Dendiss tells them he feels better...Zook asks him what made the flash....Dendiss says he doesn't know and says he just opened the door to another room...they all looked preoccupied with Dendiss and he sees into the next room (rm 14)
Dendiss sees something that looks like the thing that was keeping Gruuga in a cage (Grimlock)...he stares at it...they don't notice him staring...Dendiss gets up and runs at it with his lance, passing the others....he hits it in the hand and shatters it's right hand...it yells....the others turn to look and see the creature...it gets mad and swings at Dendiss...and bounces a big axe off his armor...Dendiss swings and misses....Zook pulls out his morningstar and moves toward it...Bonita swings and misses...Sophie shoots at it and misses....it is angry now....it swings at Bonita and misses....Dendiss smacks it with the lance and it falls down...Zook hits it with his morningstar...Bonita chops off it's head. Dendiss morns it's death...Dendiss senses that something is just not right about the south wall...he looks at the wall...Bonita & Sophia ask him what he is looking at...he tells them there is a door there and points it out to them....he opens the door...
Everyone looks into the new room (rm 21)...Dendiss & Bonita see nothing....Zook sees a little something little in the middle of the room but is not sure....Sophie sees a little man (Sverfneblin) laughing at her...she runs up to hit him and he stops his foot...there is a rumble and they scatter....Bonita gets hit by a falling block and it clips her shoulder....she falls down...the little man laughs at her....Dendiss stabs the little man in the left leg with his lance...the little man stops laughing and now looks mad...Zook stands there looking...Bonita rolls over and asks for help and prays...her hands get warm and it feels good...Sophie tries to punch the little man and misses...the little man swings at Zook with his pick and grunts....and misses...Dendiss runs at the little man with the lance again and smackifies the little man's right arm...Zook swings at the little man's head and misses...Bonita gets up and swings at the little man and trips and throws her sword across the room....Sophie swings at the little man's head and misses...the little man is laughing at Bonita...and stomps on her back...Dendiss charges the little man and misses...Zook attacks the little man and misses...Bonita swings at the little man to knock him off her...he steps back...she gets up...Sophie tries to bite the little man and he moves...the little man swings his pick at Sophie...Dendiss scewered the little man with his lance...the little man died dangling from the end of the lance...Dendiss notices something fall from the little man...he picks up the hourglass and tells the others he found it...Zook says Good...lets bring it back to Dad...they all go home with Zook and get a good dinner!

Kids DND - To Save Gruuga

Gruuga Grummel - Half-Orc Barbarian - from same church
Gruuga did not show up in church this morning...that is not right...he is always there...maybe he was sick...the group goes to check out why at his house...Gruuga's Mommy has not seen him since yesterday and she is worried...the group decide to go find him...they go home for weapons & supplies from their parents. Last Gruuga's Mommy knew he had gone out into the woods to pick flowers by the cave.
Bonita - Sword big curved one (Falchion) Sophie - Sword curved one not as big as Bonitas (scimitar) & a first aid kitZook - stick with a metal ball on it (morningstar)Dendiss - big stick (heavy lance) & a first aid kit
They go go the cave to look for Gruuga. He is not there. They hear all sorts of noises from the cave. They notice stairs going down into the cave and glowing moss. They go down the stairs as they curve around to the landing.
They find a big iron door (rm 10)...Dendiss goes to open it...It looks like a dwarven door. Sophie stops to listen to the door hoping to hear Gruuga...the others listen too...the girls here something moving around inside...the boys don't hear anything...Sophie decides they need to get in...Dendiss tries to open the door and it is stuck...he kicks it...and hurts his foot. Sophie rams the door...and head butts it...she backs off seeing stars...Dendiss hits it with his big stick...and barely scratches it. Zook calls them all crazy and goes closer to check the door...Dendiss yells who is in there...Sophie yells open the stupid door...Zook pulls on the door and it creaks a little bit...they all decide to try together...Dendiss falls down...the other 3 link together and pull the door open. They see a whole nest of spiders.Sophie tried to close the door but it is stuck open.
A spider tried to bite Sophie...and missed...she shoots at it and misses...Zook swings his stick and misses...Bonito swings her sword hits the floor right beside one...Dendiss scrapped the tip of his stick on the floor...Spider misses Sophie...she tries to stab it...and falls down...Bonito starts thinking about having another animal come to help...Zook swings his stick and hits six of the spiders...Bonita starts to feel something weird but it stops...Dendiss throws an axe...and misses...Six spiders bite Sophie...she shoots and misses...Bonita swings her sword and kills them all.
They look around the big room and see a platform in the middle and a door on the north side (rm 5).Dendiss goes to look at the door...it is stone...it looks dwarven made too...Dendiss decides it will take team work to open the door...they try to pull and discover it may be locked...they search for a key. Zook stands there watching them...Bonita tries to twist the handle to get it to open...Dendiss hits the door with his big stick...Sophie head butts the door... and passes out...Bonito picks up Sophie like a baby...
They decide to go back to the other hall and follow it to another door (rm 1) Zook pulled on the door and it came off in his hand. A Lizard type man starts yelling at them. Dendiss asks what he is saying...Sophie looks at him like he is stupid...Bonito wonders if he is friendly...The lizard picks up a pointy sick and starts yelling at them...Bonito tries to put the door back up but it is not working...Dendiss is thinking this guy is crazy...time to defend ourselves and picks up his big stick...and Sophie readies her bow...Zook stands there looking at them all like they are stupid.
Sophie tries to shoot him in the eye...the arrow wizzes past his head...the Lizard gets angry and starts yelling more...Zook swings at him...Sophie tries to apologize...the lizard throws his stick at Bonito and it hits the door by her head...she keeps trying to put the door back up...Dendiss tries to stick him with his big stick and misses...Sophie comes to the realization that the lizard does not understand her...Zook hits him in the head with his stick...the lizard tries to attack and misses...Bonito goes up and swings close with her sword and misses...Dendiss runs up and swings hislance at him and misses...Sophie swings her sword and misses...Zook swings his stick and misses...Bonita swings her sword and misses...Dendiss swings a hand axe and hits him...blood splats all over the group...the lizards falls dead...Sophie passed out again.
They head over to the east door made of iron...it appears locked. Bonito picked up Sophie again and prayed for her to feel better...a small amount of light covered Bonita and Sophie wakes up feeling a lot better...Sophie tries to open the door...it doesn't pull open...she decides to try the south door (rm 12)...Bonita helps her and they get it open and jump back just in time for a rock to roll past them and hit the opposite wall...Sophie goes in to look...there is an anvil, a forge and a kiln on the far side of the room...Bonita goes back into the previous room...Zook goes to check out the forge...Bonita comes back...the forge is warm like it was used recently...Sophie opened the kiln and a little bat like creature snapped at her and grabbed the door and pulled it closed...they opened both doors...the creature got mad yelling stupid kids go away and tried to close the door again...said this is my home leave me alone...Dendiss decides the creature should be left alone...he grabs Sophie to stop her from opening the door again and pulls her away from the kiln.
Zook goes to look at the southeast door (rm 9)...Bonita says creepy little thing lets leave it alone and find another room...Zook tries to open the door and it is locked...he thinks to pick the lock and Sophie kicks in the door...the room beyond is empty...they all search the room...Dendiss and Sophie found rocks that did not quite seem right but left them behind...they decide there is nothing in here and go back to the previous room.
They decide to check the northeast door...Dendiss chops at the door with a throwing axe and makes a dent...Zook opens the door...there is a hallway beyond the door...the hallway goes down to a deadend...they search the hallway and find nothing...they go back to the previous room.
They decide to check the south door (rm 7)....Dendiss chops at the door and Bonita opened the door...they all look into the next room and see another forge, an alter, a shrine, a fireplace,a loom and a cage...everyone except Dendiss hears crying coming from the cage...they go to check out the cage...there is another bat like creature crying in the cage...Bonita asked him what was the matter...he tells her that they left him in here...she tried to open the cage and doesn't get it..Sophie manages to open the door and tries to pick him up...he bites at him and says to just leave him alone and leave the door open...Sophie closes the cage and he says you are as bad as that big green ugly...Zook asks which way he went he points to the southeast enterence and they all run off to that door...Sophie said sorry and opened the cage back up for him...

About 30 feet down there is a big arch entering to another large room (RM 6)...they look into the room...they look around and Bonita spots Gruuga's footprints all over the place...Sophie and Bonita yell GRUUGA!!! there is no answer...They head for the big wooden door to the west...
Zook tried the door knob and it was stuck...they all start attacking the door...Dendiss pokes the door with his lance and there is now a hole in the door...Zook thwackies the door and it does nothing...Bonita hits with her sword and widens the door a little bit...they continue hitting it until the door falls down...there is a large broom closet...Zook searches the closet...Sophie tries to fly on a broom...Zook decides there is nothing in here and suggests that they should try the other door...Sophie and Dendiss take brooms and they head to the north exit...

They walk through the archway into a huge room...in the corner is a big furball...they look at the furball and Sophie, Zook and Bonita think it may be a big spider...Dendiss has no clue...Bonita goes to get a closer look at the furball...the boys head for the northwest door...Bonita thinks they should leave the spider alone...he looks hungry and wants to be left alone...Sophie tries to shoot the spider and her bowstring breaks...Dendiss hits the door with an axe and Zook tries to open the door and discovers it is locked...they all commence to beating the door in and find themselves in a hallway heading off to the east...they follow the hallway around to the north and east again passed a door to the south and into a big wooden door...they go back to the door to the south.
They open the door to find a nasty looking monster in the room calling them more food and spot Gruuga in the corner in a cage...Gruuga is crying saying it plans to eat him...Zook declares not today and runs up hits the monster...Dendiss tries to poke it with his big stick...the monster grabs a big axe and swings at Zook and misses...Sophie & Bonita swing their swords and miss it...Zook swings again and misses...Dendiss misses with his big stick and sticks Sophie in the shoulder instead...the monster scrapes his axe on Bonita's armor...Sophie hits the monster with her sword and Bonita misses again...the monster doesn't seem happy...Zook swings again and misses...Dendiss stabs at the monster and misses...the monster attempts to attack Zook and runs right passed him...Sophie tries to hit again and misses...Bonita misses...Zook hits the monster again...Dendiss knocked his big stick off the monster's armor...the monster back hands Sophie with his axe and throws her 5 ft and she hits the wall and passes out...Bonita moves Sophie away from the battle...Zook misses...Dendiss misses...the monster tries to hit Dendiss and misses...Bonita charges at him with her sword and stabs it through the monster's chest.
Gruuga is crying in the cage...Zook goes to opens the cage to let Gruuga out...Dendiss checks Sophie can not figure out why she is passed oug...Bonita picks up Sophie and they head back to Gruuga's Mom.

They walk through the archway into a huge room...in the corner is a big furball...they look at the furball and Sophie, Zook and Bonita think it may be a big spider...Dendiss has no clue...Bonita goes to get a closer look at the furball...the boys head for the northwest door...Bonita thinks they should leave the spider alone...he looks hungry and wants to be left alone...Sophie tries to shoot the spider and her bowstring breaks...Dendiss hits the door with an axe and Zook tries to open the door and discovers it is locked...they all commence to beating the door in and find themselves in a hallway heading off to the east...they follow the hallway around to the north and east again passed a door to the south and into a big wooden door...they go back to the door to the south.
They open the door to find a nasty looking monster in the room calling them more food and spot Gruuga in the corner in a cage...Gruuga is crying saying it plans to eat him...Zook declares not today and runs up hits the monster...Dendiss tries to poke it with his big stick...the monster grabs a big axe and swings at Zook and misses...Sophie & Bonita swing their swords and miss it...Zook swings again and misses...Dendiss misses with his big stick and sticks Sophie in the shoulder instead...the monster scrapes his axe on Bonita's armor...Sophie hits the monster with her sword and Bonita misses again...the monster doesn't seem happy...Zook swings again and misses...Dendiss stabs at the monster and misses...the monster attempts to attack Zook and runs right passed him...Sophie tries to hit again and misses...Bonita misses...Zook hits the monster again...Dendiss knocked his big stick off the monster's armor...the monster back hands Sophie with his axe and throws her 5 ft and she hits the wall and passes out...Bonita moves Sophie away from the battle...Zook misses...Dendiss misses...the monster tries to hit Dendiss and misses...Bonita charges at him with her sword and stabs it through the monster's chest.
Gruuga is crying in the cage...Zook goes to opens the cage to let Gruuga out...Dendiss checks Sophie can not figure out why she is passed oug...Bonita picks up Sophie and they head back to Gruuga's Mom.
